Align 450 head speed

At the last indoor evening I was getting some help in setting up my Align 450, and was told to re-gear for something less than 2000 rpm headspeed.
I can't figure out how to get anywhere near that low a headspeed with the OEM RCM-BL 430 XL motor (3700 kv). It carries a 1/8" (3.17mm) shaft and the smallest pinion available is 12T which gives 3400 rpm @ 100% or 2700 rpm @ 80% .
If I use a motor with a 2mm shaft, the smallest pinion is 9T which would yield 2500 rpm @ 100% or 2000 rpm @ 80%.
What motors are suitable for the Align 450 that have 2mm shaft and something like a 3500 kv rating??

No, no. You do not want to fly so low head speed.
Use something around 2500-2700 RPM for hovering.

Brian I did some checking on RR and the general speed all are saying to use is 2500, When we were at the indoor what was the speed of your 450?
I will have to check out what mine is and compare.
I did get the 250 set up on the DX6i and the test fling was good so yours should not be a problem.
We will get yours tamed down to a nice feel.
