Established in 1978 by a dedicated group of Helicopter enthusaists, in a time when a degree in mechanical engineering was almost a prerequisite, ERCHA was, and remains one of the few Helicopter only clubs in Canada.
As we move forward with the development of our new home, you will see it is geared to the flying of Helicopters. The flight stations are widely spaced, each takeoff/landing area is a smooth flat area of modern geotextile matting. No more losing your 450 class machine in the long grass, no more snags in the weeds, no more green tail blades, and WOW is it clean!
Though this week is a move week (go North young man) to allow the contractors to finish the south end of the field, we will soon be able to return and get the grass seeded in the pit area, finish the parking area and bring in the structures.
There is lots of work to do, but it has been great to have so much committed help.
Keep up the great work, and let's keep those rotors turning! |
