Any idea when the field will be available this spring?

Hey I was out at the field last weekend, see link below, things looked good!

http://ercha.ca/forum/index.php?topic=400.0

The road will be weather dependent for the next few weeks, it was solid but a lot of snow rain could change that.

The dirt under the mats was soft but usable, watch for lifted staples that could hook skids and such.

Cheers

Good to know. Thanks Mark.
I have paid for my 2014 MAAC membership and expect to get that in the mail soon.
There was mention of a meeting coming up where members could renew their ERCHA memberships. Otherwise I can mail cheque to you?
In the meantime, may I assume that it's okay for me to fly at the club field?

Well it's 15 deg C at 4:15 p.m. and if no one is out at the field this evening, I'll assume it's because of death as the deadline for taxes has passed.

It's a sunny and warm holiday Monday. I think I'll be going flyin' this afternoon or early evening. Looking forward to trying out my Skookum GPS on my Logo 600.

Not a good evening.
Had forgotten to re-install bottom shaft bolt. Lost collective control after flipping. Lightly crashed X5 inverted. No obvious damage, but I'm sure there's some.
Logo 600: managed to fly well into 3rd pack, then let it get too close to me and crashed hard. Forgot to hit soft deck feature that I had to turn off earlier because it wasn't allowing me to flip and roll.
Main blades shot, main links bent and popped; landing gear ejected with obvious damage. Will go over bird more carefully after "licking my wounds".

July 13, 2014:
Conditions: Sunny, temp around 26, very light east wind, grass freshly cut, no mosquitoes to speak of.
Gate locked and nobody flying while I was there, from around 5:30-8:00 pm.
Surprised at the lack of flying considering the time and conditions, and a waste of a very valuable resource for bigger heli pilots in the Edmonton area.
Oh well, I enjoyed the flying space.
