Funfly date: July 27th - July 29th 2012

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello folks!

I am posting up a funfly for some good friends! This will be their "Second" funfly at the MAAC registered field just west of Edson, Alberta. Railway RC Flyers

You simply go from town mark 0 @ Dodge dealership, "west end out of city" 6.0kms to the Robb south turnoff, this is an EASY overpass and is only one west of town, on your right side you'll see a bulk UFA cardlock. So turn south there, now drive only 3.0 kms south to the "bickerdike" road, here you will turn WEST or right and follow the road only approxiametely 2.5-3.0kms and around an S bend on your left you will see "Randy & Tinas" RC Airfield. This IS where you turn left or south, then just follow into the field which is on a large open 40 acreas

Here are GPS #s...
Primary Field Coordinates (WGS84):
Latitude: +53° 32' 53"
Longitude: -116° 39' 1"

Airplanes, Helis all are welcome. There is some cut area for sure reasonable room for camping and so fourth. The field only started being built in 2010 October, but it is fantastic!

We hope to see everyone that can make it out, easy to find, easy going atmosphere and a ton of fun to take place. Feel free to bring what you like, beginner, expert it makes no difference this is all for fun! There will also be night flying as well!  There will be some cut out areas to park campers, tents and so fourth so no worries on room to camp!

This year in 2012 we have a FULLY outfitted gazebo, "large" with wood heat stove, and fridge and working benches to! So... if you want to cook you are welcome to use the wood stove to cook burgers, hotdogs, steaks what ever you wish! Of course the fire will be brewing at night to keep all the pilots and guests toasty warm! Smiley

We look forward to seeing whoever can make this event as it will be a great one folks!

For any questions and such call Randy or Tina @ 780-723-5553

Or Shawn @ 780-518-3853

What a beautiful field. It looks like you have been working on it for more than 2 seasons. One day after our funfly and i'm already tearing down airwolf to fix the gear issue, so it will be ready for your event. One question, my trailer does not have bathroom facilities, and my wife wanted me to check what was on site. I told her you more than likely had dealt with the issue, but i'm asking anyway.

Thanks Mike

We have an outhouse there as well all clean etc, so no worries. If you mean shower and so fourth, I am certain R&T will work something out for those folks no problems.

Just finished getting the trailer ready. Didn't have time to finish the big Hughes, but Airwolf is ready, minus the gear. Still haven't got that one solved. I even through in my foamy bi plane.
If we get away by 5 should be there by 7.
See everyone there
