Just a quick question. Is anyone going to be out tomorrow after work? My Raven has risen from the ashes and is ready for a test flight, but I need someone to help with the tach.
Thanks

It was a success. Not only did I get the tail problems sorted on the Hawk, but the Raven flies again. Travis helped me tach the rotor speed down from 2300 to something a little more safe. High speed passes were great. Now all I have to do is get the idle up curves back in shape. I tried a loop and found the throttle just wasn't there, but it sure flips and rolls fast enough. It is actually faster with the stock paddles than the lighter smaller ones.

Mike what small ones are you talking about? What brand are they?

I got 2 sets of paddles, one from heli world and one from great hobbies. Both similar in design and shape, one K&S red, and the other I can't remember, but red also. The only difference is a curved leading edge on one and a sharp edge on the other.

You could try the larger 22 gram grey H13179G paddles for cyclic response and stability in FFF, this has been tried on the Raven with good success.

I will check and see if I have some if so you can try them.
