Transport Canada issued a Civil Aviation Safety Alert to remind all persons operating unmanned aircraft (model aircraft and unmanned air vehicles or UAVs), for any purpose, about the safety impacts and consequences of interfering with manned aircraft operations, including firefighting aircraft.
This summer, a number of incidents occurred in British Columbia where manned aircraft fighting forest fires were grounded due to interference from unmanned aircraft. The Canadian Aviation Regulations state that no unauthorized person shall operate an aircraft within 5 nautical miles (9 km) of a forest fire or within any associated restricted airspace.
The Civil Aviation Safety Alert is also a reminder of the consequences of contravening regulations pertaining to the use of unmanned aircraft.
Please distribute the Alert or this message where appropriate.
Thank you,

First, what is the pack for? if it is primary power on an expensive machine with big current draw you maybe better off to replace the pack.  Second, are you sure its aluminum? if it is it is a challenge to solder at the best of times as it oxidizes rapidly.  It would be a bit odd for the tab to be Al connected to copper wire.

Let us know what you think and maybe someone can meet with you to give it a try.

Cheers

Hey Guys

With the dogged determination of an up stream Salmon Ken has fixed the Diesel  generator. Hopefully it is back to its old self.  The fuel is in the back half of the gen shed.  Please do not boost or charge the generator with the battery hooked up, meaning.... if it wont start walk away.....Wink

If you have anything but a perfect experience please let us know.

Cheers
Mark

Hey all

As most of you know we have set up a Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ercha.ca/   It is a closed group so you need to be a member to see the content.  Past and present members should have received an email with instructions on how to join.  If you haven't received the e-mail or would like access as a non ERCHA member pls pm me or post here.

In spite of my misgivings about the whole "Facebook thing" the page looks and works vary well and is getting lots of traffic from our active members so I will encourage everyone to give it a try.

See you over there!

Cheers
