1  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Looking for Mikado Logo 600 dealer on: April 07, 2011, 12:13:25 AM
Although I don't own a Mikado heli I've bought a ton of stuff from Ken at rcflightstore (including 2 full sized v-bars) and he's a great guy to deal with.  Besides, we should be supporting our Canadian retailers any chance we get because they'll only get better and stock more parts if we keep on buying from them.  He offers free shipping over a certain amount and has gone over and above to help me out a few times.  Great guy!  I'll be buying a Mikado from him for my next build this coming winter for sure......

Thanks Mark.  My MAAC card is on the way so in a few days I can purchase a membership with ERCHA.  As far as teaching any of you guys something it probably will be a lesson in how not to fly (crashing) rather than actually looking like I know what I'm doing!  Yes, I'm going to be "that guy" at the field this summer!  Anyway, sorry to have hijacked this "indoor" thread with some questions on "outdoor" flying but I've got spring fever really-really bad.  I've been couped up far too long this winter so when the sun starts to shine and that white crap starts to disappear the last thing on my mind is doing anything indoors..... Smiley.

Hey Chris

The ERCHA field is open to club members year round, weather and the road condition permitting.  Visitors and guests are welcome to come by any time the field is in use/gate open.  There are no set times so watch the forum for members posting their plans.

Obviously if you wish to join the Club you can fly when you wish, meet the group and learn a bit, or more likely, teach us a thing or two!!

Cheers
Mark

I sure wish that I could have made it to at least one of the indoor sessions you guys put on over the winter.  Now that the warmer weather is coming (hopefully sooner than later) when will you guys start heading out to the flying field on the weekends?  Is it open yet?  Is there a set schedule to use the outdoor field?

Wayne,

Did you confirm in the collective direction tab that the proper movement was selected?  There are two options for collective direction under that tab.

Sorry boys but something came up and I couldn't make the trip into the city tonight.  I'll try again next weekend.....

Dmitry,

Thanks for the reply.  I might just take you up on that invite this weekend....we'll see what the weather is like because I'm over an hour out of the city.  If it's miserable I'll just stay home.  Anyway, I don't have a MAAC membership yet but I will be getting one shortly.  In the meantime I just wanted to come out and meet some of you guys and maybe watch for a few minutes.  Where does the indoor flying take place in Edmonton?

Chris

Hi.  I'd like to join your club.  Are non-members allowed to come out and watch you guys fly indoors?  Also, I have a new T-Rex 550E with V-Bar v5.1pro that I'd like one of the experienced pilots to look over and just double check to make sure that everything is correct with my set-up.  This was my first build and I'd  like someone with a lot more experience than me look it over.  I'm 99.9% confident that it's ok but you never can be too cautious.....

Chris.
