Any ideas how long the field will be closed?
32  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Looking for Mikado Logo 600 dealer on: April 07, 2011, 02:25:57 PM
Yes, that's right. There are two Mikado dealers in North America. ReadyHeli and RCFlightStore. Both of them has excellent support, but shipping from RCFlightStore is way faster (takes usually 2 days to receive the order). Ken is a great guy.

You always can come to the field. Weather is good enough. I flew there yesterday and will be flying this weekend for sure.
It is not possible to get to the parking though. Too much snow  Sad.

Did you try to install Windows 7 drivers?

There is a link to Windows 7 drivers on that page:

Let us know how it worked.

Logo 500 has the same size as Trex 550 ( 500mm - 550mm blades)
Logo 400 has the same size as Trex 500 (425mm blades). You can put longer boom (available from Mikado) and run 475mm blades.

Log 400 is a great heli, but Log 500 has a better design (same design as Logo 600). It is a next level. If you can, go with Logo 500. You wont regret  Wink

There are two models:
1) Logo 500 - designed to run 500-550mm blades.
2) Logo 500 SE designed to run up to 600mm blades.

I guess you want to buy Log 500. It runs awesome on 6s 5000ma with 550mm blades.

If you want to run bigger blades like 600mm I recommend to buy Logo 600 instead of Logo 500 SE.

ReadyHeli has a list with recommended setups for Logos.

Hi Tom,

Sure you can do that. Fee is the same for non members. But you have to have MAAC insurance.

Hi Wayne,

Make sure that collective  moves correctly at "Transmitter" tab in Setup mode. Reverse collective channel in transmitter if collective moves in wrong direction.
Then make sure that collective direction at "Collective Dir" tab.
If everything is correct there you probably just need to reverse servos at "Swash" tab.

I recommend to go trough whole setup again.

So, Are we flying this Sat? Who is going to pick up the keys?

It takes place at Aviation Museum hangar. Check the map.
I put the green arrow right at the entrance to the hangar.

Hi Chris,

For sure you can come and watch. If you have MAAC insurance and a heli with 350mm blades or smaller you can fly too. We do not fly bigger helis at indoor.
Probably I am most experienced Vbar pilot in the city. I can help you for sure. Come to indoor this weekend.
There are many great Vbar pilots in Alberta and Saskatchewan. You will have a chance to meet them at different local fun flies.
43  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Cheap(er) electric set up on: February 24, 2011, 02:33:38 AM
Great setup!

I went a bit different way for next season. I have less packs, but with higher charge rates. I got 4x 12s 3850ma ThunderPower 65C packs for my Logo 600. They are good for 12C charge rates (mine charges are not that powerful though  Grin). With two 1000W chargers I can fly non stop all day long. Many of you already saw my charging station. It is very compact (Pelican 1470 laptop hardcase), and very powerful (2000W). Copied from Justin Steward from RR, and from Shawn.
44  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Logo 600 6S 553 Blades ? on: February 16, 2011, 05:01:05 PM
6S suites for Logo 500 with 553 very well.

Logo 600 is a bit stronger than Logo 500, but it has a bit too long tail for 553 blades. But you can do following. Buy Logo 600 and Logo 500 belt and Canopy. Then just cut stock 600 boom and use Logo 500 belt. As the result you will get better tail case, thicker boom ( more clearance for belt), stronger blade holders.
