HI NIk - I think the one thing Woodchopper missed is that I believe you need a MAAC membership to fly  a the indoor facility and definitly need the MAAC membership to join the club. I'm sure that Woodchopper or one of the other executive members of ERCHA will post ot confirm one way or the other.

Probably the greatest benefit of being a club member is teh many guys you will meet with a common interest and the knowledge and help they so willingly pass on with regards to getting your machine set up properly - makes it so much easier to fly. The social side of most R/C clubs isn't the big thing but it is the fun thing.

Yup - you'ld definitly win points in scale for detail - I recently read an article in VERTICAL magazine about how the U.S. Military is flying unmanned Kaman K-Max by remote to deliver cargo to remote bases. I beilive there is a five hook rotary gargo carrier so they can fly it to several locations dropping specific loads to specific locations.

Just wanted to post a huge thank you to Lowtech and Rotorsport for your help in getting my Blade SR flying so much better - now if you could just tweak the pilot to fly half as well as the helicopter does!!!

This is what the experienced members of ERCHA are renowned for - your patience and mentoring of us newbies!!!

Randy and Tina have the Best Little Heliport in Alberta!!! Truly a fantastic site and amenities possibly exceeded only by the food and hospitality. For a site that is only in it's second year all I can say is WOW!!! And talking with Randy and Tina they have plans to make the field even better in the next year or so - can't wait to see it!!! Thanks to all involved for putting on the hidden jewel of funflys. We thouroughly enjoyed our visit on Saturday and look forward to seeing everyone and more in the future.

Looking great Mike!!! You obviously have more patience than I have - but I don't need patients - I'm not a Doctor!!! Looking forward to seeing it finished and in the air - I love scale ships but seriously can't see me having the time to put into a build and doing it justice like this for a few years yet. Please post some more details - what fuselage, mechanics and eletronics have you put together on this build?

P.S. Charles - How is your Kiowa build going?

A great big thanks to Hobby Wholesale for sponsoring indoor this year, and to all who had a hand in organizing and operating the sessions. The flying has been great but I don't think anything is better than just getting together as a Club to share tips, tricks, stories and most importantly friendship. Looking forward to flying at the field and next winter's indoor.

I know that we picked dates for the ERCHA and T&T Funflies at the February meeting but have since lost my note with those dates. Could someone please post the dates, possibly on the home page, so that people can start to book days off work and make plans to attend.

I agree with supporting the local then Canadian retatilers first, I was not aware of rcflightstore, but have checked out their website today and after hearing about Ken and his service I will definitely be directing some business his way as well.
