: Re: Field work Requited : Burtondude September 28, 2010, 01:17:47 PM I should be there as long as I am not working. Those coming out bring shovels, rakes a couple 4 foot levels, wheel barrows, anything used to level and lay bricks
: Re: Field work Requited : RogerGoulet September 30, 2010, 10:03:08 PM The weather is finally in our favor for field work. Hope we get a good turnout.
Saturday morning 10 am . Roger : Re: Field work Requited : woodchopper October 02, 2010, 04:16:44 PM I hope the work gets meny hands! Sorry I will miss the fun, still in the South. Can't wait to see how it looks, should be great!
Hope someone gets a few shots. Mark : Re: Field work Requited : RogerGoulet October 02, 2010, 07:16:47 PM We only had 3 guys show up. We laid the bricks in the pit area on the grass
until we can get someone to put some gravel and sand in the hole. Roger : Re: Field work Requited : Freeskiken October 03, 2010, 03:44:26 AM Yes, We need gravel and sand. A packer, bobcat would be nice to get the sand and gravel in the trench. I talked to Travis and he said he could get the packer and I think a bobcat. No sense trying to lay bricks without the sand and gravel. Then we need more help if we are to complete this project. We also need to rent a saw to chop some of the bricks since there are not enough small pieces. Mark said that there is a plastic edging that you put beside the blocks on the edges. Do we need to get this as well ? We will need short 2 x 4 and hammer to tap the blocks tight. String line. Thanks Ken
: Re: Field work Requited : Kevlar11 October 03, 2010, 04:41:31 AM I can get a dry blade cutoff saw for cutting the bricks
KD : Re: Field work Requited : Burtondude October 05, 2010, 04:00:52 PM Is there a time line for trying to lay down bricks this year?
: Re: Field work Requited : RogerGoulet October 21, 2010, 02:53:02 AM Travis will have a truck at noon Saturday to move the gravel and sand for the sidewalk. He needs some workers with shovels to load the truck.
Kevin will be putting in the Lino in the shack. Please come out and help. Saturday 12 Noon. : Re: Field work Requited : Burtondude October 21, 2010, 03:22:14 AM Can this get moved to the front ercha page soore people see it?

: Re: Field work Requited : RogerGoulet October 30, 2010, 11:21:41 PM A Lot of good work done today. The Z bricks are down. and some of the fill has been done. Thanks guys for the hard work.
I will be there tomorrow around noon. We need to finish the fill soil beside the walk and tamp the sand on the Z bricks to get the sand in between the bricks. We also need to modify the shack to get the Tractor in. We should be able to finish if we have enough people tomorrow. Roger : Re: Field work Requited : RogerGoulet November 01, 2010, 05:05:14 AM Z bricks are in place and looking good.
The tractor is in the shed. I put a temporary door on it with local materials. I did not have time to put the siding on the door and it is temporary. Roger : Re: Field work Requited : Freeskiken November 02, 2010, 04:06:37 AM Great job!!! Thanks to everyone that helped !!! Sorry I could not be there this weekend. Ken
