: Wires for Motor Winding?
: Dmitry November 12, 2010, 05:41:16 PM
I am going to make a "custom monster" motor for my Logo 600 for 12s setup. Need to buy copper wires for that. Does anybody know a good source of wires in Edmonton?

Pyro 700 is one of the most powerful motors for 12s setup. One of my friends rewind that motor, and made it even more powerful. I want to try to do the same with 4035 and 4225 Scorpion motors. Now I have what to do this winter ;D.

I have found good source of wires on Ebay:

Are you switching to a 12 cell set up

Yes, want to go with 12s setup next season. Less stress on speed controller, a bit more power.  4225 is designed for 10s - it has too high 610KV for 12s setup. I want to rewind it and make KV a bit lower. But I will rewind 4035 just for the test first.

Here is my custom Scorpion 4035-500kv. This motor has more copper inside, and internal resistance of the motor is several times less comparing to the stock. Due to that it will be more powerful, more efficient and will run cooler. I have used 16AWG wire for winding.
